I grew up in a large Vietnamese family where food was our cornerstone.  My childhood memories smell of cinnamon, lemongrass, ginger, cultured yogurt, and fish sauce.  

I love how food brings people together and connects us beyond the tastes and textures of the dishes in front of us.  My work reflects my lifelong fascination of how human connection and food are intertwined.  I love capturing the stories behind the food, the people, their emotions, struggles, and triumphs.

When I’m not working, I’m usually at the beach with my family, in the kitchen cooking and baking with my mom, or working on our small garden.  My Vietnamese heritage and living in California have a huge influence on my cooking.  I am inspired by the fruits and vegetables from our garden and local farmers market.

I'm based in San Diego but regular shoot in the Bay Area, Seattle, and Vancouver.  I love exploring new places and am open to traveling for work.
